Villa Esche – designed by Henry van de Velde in 1902/1903 for the Chemnitz-based stocking manufacturer Herbert Esche – is considered a masterpiece of modern architecture and a historical monument of European rank.
The Art Nouveau villa is a highlight of the European Henry van de Velde Route.
Today it serves as a conference venue, event setting and location and houses the first Henry van de Velde museum in Germany.
