INFORMATION
Villa Esche is accessible by wheelchair up to the second floor (lift), the function room in the attic only can be accessed by means of a semicircular staircase. The house has a disabled lift at the side entrance, which can be operated by event service staff. Please inform the event service in good time should you wish to use the lift.
HOW TO GET TO US
From the A4 motorway
Leave A4 at the Chemnitz Nord (Chemnitz North) exit and follow the B95 towards Chemnitz Zentrum (Chemnitz Centre). Then take the B173 towards Zwickau (Zwickauer Straße). Continue along Zwickauer Straße. At the 3rd set of traffic lights (distinctive property on the left: red and yellow brick building with turrets), turn left along Goethestraße. Continue along Goethestraße until you get to the roundabout. Stay in the right lane as you enter the roundabout and take the second exit along the B169 in the direction of Stollberg (follow the tram lines). At the next set of traffic lights, turn left onto Haydnstraße. Shortly afterwards (approx. 200 m) turn right onto Lisztstraße, then keep right until you reach Richard-Wagner-Straße. The Villa Esche car park is signposted from here.
From the A72 motorway
Leave A72 at the Chemnitz Süd (Chemnitz South) exit along the B173 (Neefestr.). At the traffic lights, turn right onto the Leave A72 at the Chemnitz Süd (Chemnitz South) exit along the B173 (Neefestraße). At the traffic lights, turn right onto the Südring (south orbital route). From the Südring, take the exit onto the B169 (Stollberger Straße) and then follow the signs for Stadtzentrum (city centre). After approx. 3 km, you will see a branch of Commerzbank on the left hand side, followed by a signpost. Turn right onto Richard-Wagner-Straße. After approx. 25 m, you will come to the entrance for Villa Esche (left).
From Chemnitz Stadtzentrum (city centre)
TTravel along Bahnhofstraße in the direction of Zwickau until you reach the traffic lights, junction Bahnhofstraße/Zwickauer Straße (B173). Here, turn left onto Zwickauer Straße. Continue along Zwickauer Straße. At the 3rd set of traffic lights (distinctive property: red and yellow brick building with turrets), turn left along Goethestraße. Continue along Goethestraße. Stay in the right lane as you enter the roundabout and take the second exit along the B169 in the direction of Stollberg (follow the tram lines). At the next set of traffic lights, turn left onto Haydnstraße. From Haydnstraße, turn right onto Lisztstraße, then keep right until you reach Richard-Wagner-Straße. The entrance for Villa Esche is signposted from here.
From Chemnitz Hauptbahnhof (central station)
From Chemnitz central station, take tram 4 towards Hutholz until you reach the "Haydnstraße" stop. Alight and walk along Stollberger Straße in a south-westerly direction. After a short while, turn left onto Haydnstraße. After approx. 150m, you will come to Villa Esche.
